Picture
... I've made the background picture by myself
with an object I found on a CD with Free Clipart. You can get the
picture here, but please remember the copyright
(of the picture, not the object!) is mine,
and this picture should only be used for this tutorial
and for private use. You will also need a mask.
The mask I chose by Melisa McCurley, can be downloaded here.
It is the last one on the first row (mmdm4mskthumb.gif).

| DESCRIPTION:
3.part of this tutorial ... all we have to do now is to make a
nice window frame for our picture, and we're done!
|
 |
Select the Path Tool/Path Drawing Tool
(red arrow) and set the Shape to Rectangle (1) and the Mode to 3D Pipe
(2).
The Color isn't important for the moment. In the Path Panel, set the Border to 5, and the Depth to 30 (3).
Draw a rectangle on you picture. You can see on the left how I did it
(black arrow).
|
|
 |
Select the Path Tool/Path Drawing Tool (red arrow).
This time set the Shape to Rectangle (1) and change the Mode to 3D Round. For
the moment you can keep the Border and Depth in the Path Panel as they
are.
Draw a narrow rectangle (black
arrow).
|
|
 |
Using the last
rectangle (the one which is activated in the screenshot to the
left), right click/Align (red arrow)/Center Both (white arrow).
To make the middle of our window frame like the rest, in the Path Panel
set the Border to 6.
Now we will use a wood preset to make our window frame look authentic.
Open EP/Fill Gallery and find a wood preset you like.
I've used one from Rosie Hardman, rwood6. You can download this preset
from here.

|
 |
One last
step!!! Select the Pick Tool (red arrow) and using the
arrows under Arrange (1), you can move your object as you like. In this
case, use the one with the name Send Backward, and the picture is
finished.
Merge All. |

Another
example how your window could look like! :) |

|
And
one more ... done after the same tutorial! :)) |
|
| That's
it! We have now made a window with an ice fern look. For the best
overall effect, you should have a dark/black background so it
stands out! You can also use photos as a background, let it snow,
make an animation picture, or just make a twist on it and
"look" inside a house. There are a lot of possibilities
using this technique.
HAVE FUN!!!
