DESCRIPTION:
In this tutorial we will
enhance a photo with different filters. Note: I'm using Filters
Unlimited 2.0, so your screen may look different. You can still follow
this tutorial without Filters Unlimited 2.0. Instead of opening up
Filters Unlimited where indicated, go directly to the filter (i.e.,
Effect/DavidBlend_PhotoTools/Gradient Sky -- Compliment + + +).
|
 |
Open the picture
tut9_photo and make two copies (Ctrl+D). Close the original and work on
one of those copies now.
Go to DavidBlend_Photo Tools/Gradient Sky - Compliment and use my settings:
148/47/122/172/175/0
Hold down Alt at the same time when
clicking the Apply button (red arrow). The filter will be applied
but FU is still open. You can apply the next filter at once.
Apply the Frosted Edges - White filter from the same filter group, use
these settings: 45/120
Click the Apply button, both filters
have now been applied!
Be aware ... this little trick is only working if you use Filters Unlimited
2.0!
Your screenshot might look different, since I'm using Filters
Unlimited 2 ... but the settings are the same anyway. |
|
 |
Now we will
work with the second copy of our picture. Activate it and open
Filters Unlimited 2.0. Find the Andrew's Filter Collection 55 and the
filter with the name At The Atomic Level ...
Use this settings: 104/88/22/6/10/2/4, and
click the Apply button.
|
|
 |
Still working
on our 2.copy ...
go to Effect/ Creative/Particle Effect/Snow. I used this settings:
1700/11/78 + 10/70
Try different settings until you find
one you like (optional).
|
|
|
 |
Your next
window should look like the screenshot on the left. Activate the
first picture we worked on (1) and copy it (Ctrl+C).
Then activate the other picture (2) and paste the copy you just made
on top of this picture (Ctrl+V). |
|
|
 |
Now you have
two pictures on top of each other. Right Click/Properties and set the Merge Mode to
Inverse of Multiply (red
arrow).
Merge All and your picture is finished.
|
|
|
That's it! That's it! Now we have a
Winter Wonderland. Of course, if you are using another photo,
experiment with the filter settings. I'm sure you will achieve a lot of beautiful pictures.
HAVE FUN!!!
