Tube
... you can choose any tube you want. I used
a tube from abitbuggydesigns.com. I've also made the object you'll need for the
taggie, and you can download it here, but you can
always make your own "background-object".

| DESCRIPTION:
Make
an easy Sig Tag with
PI.
|
 |
Open
the object you've downloaded in the zip file ...
tut_SigTag_034_object.ufo.
Right click/Ungroup (red arrow).
Press the return key to deselect the object.
|
|
 |
Activate
one of the dark parts of the object, go to Effect/Material
Effect/Texture Filter/Embossed, and use the standard Texture
Image (or find another texture you want to use ... red arrow).
Use these settings (1):
100/10/70/0 + Direction: 45
Click OK/Apply Current Frame Effect to Image (white arrow).
Repeat this step with the other dark parts of the object too.
Since I wanted to use the same Texture filter on all dark
parts I tried to apply the filter at once to all of them, but
the result wouldn't be the same as applied separately.

 |
Open the tube
(1) you want to use, copy (Ctrl+C) the tube, activate the main
picture (2) and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy on it.
Right click/Properties/Position&Size (white hand)/Position:
Left: 61 (red arrow)
Top: -75 (white arrow)
Click OK and keep this tube activated. |
|
|
|
Right
click/ Properties/General (white hand) /Merge:
Luminosity Only (red arrow) and change the Transparency to 40% (white arrow).
Click OK.
|
|
|
|
Activate
your original tube (1) again, resize to a Height of 250 Pixels
(or another Height that fits your taggie!), go to Effect/All/
Monochrome.
Copy (Ctrl+C) the monochrome tube (1), activate the main
picture (2) and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy on it.
Right click/Properties/Position
&Size (white hand)/Position:

Top: 50 (white arrow)
Click OK and keep this tube activated.
|
|
|
|
Right
click/Shadow, choose the color Black (white hand), the
3.alternative (red arrow), and use these settings:
X-offset: 3
Y-offset: 3
Transparency: 50
Shadow size: 100
Soft edge: 10
Click OK.
Right click/Merge All.
|
|
|
|
|
Go to Format/Expand Canvas/Expand sides equally: 5 Pixels, Expand color: White.
Right click/All, right click/Border and set the Border width to
5, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box and Soft edge: 0.
Edit/Trace/Selection Marquee with the standard settings, and
change the Horizontal Deform (red arrow) to 3D Round (white

|
|
|
|
|
Open
your Easy Palette and find a nice preset that fits your
taggie.
For this example I used one from the Material Gallery/Gel
(white hand): G19 (1).
I made some adjustments to the preset ... right click the
thumbnail of the preset (1)/Modify Properties and Apply. Under
Border/Depth (red arrow) I changed the Border to 10 Pixels. I also removed the shadow under
Shadow (white arrow).
Add a name as you wish, and your taggie is finished! :))
