DESCRIPTION:
Make an easy, but stylish Sig Tag with PI and a filter from
Visman.
|
 |
Open
your tube, minimize and then open a New Image and choose a color that fits your
website, letters, et. cetera. This time I've chosen the color
of my website. Size of the New Image: 400x400 Pixels.
Open the path, which were included in the zip file and place
the tube on the layer. (You might have to recolor the path so
it fits your tube, but that's no problem with PI.)
Right click/Align/Center Both and
close the original path. Right click the path on the canvas,
choose shadow and use the standard settings:
1. one (red arrow) + 10/10 + 50/100/10
Right click/Merge All.
|
|
 |
In
some filter downloads you will find the Zoom Blur filter under VM
Toolbox, and with others you'll find it under VM Stylize (doesn't
really matter - the settings will be the same anyway)!
Go
to Effect/VM Stylize (red arrow)/Zoom Blur (white arrow) and
use these settings (1):
Amount: 10
Adjust: 166
Your screenshot might look different, since I'm using Filters Unlimited
2 - but the settings are the same anyway.
Click Apply.
Resize your tube, and place on
the main picture.
|
|
 |
To
make the name like I did, choose the Line and Arrow Tool
(white arrow), Shape: Freehand, Mode: 2D Object, and draw a
line like the one you can see on the screenshot (red arrows).
Depends on the length of the name you want to use! The color doesn't matter.
Leave
the line activated, right click/Wrap/Add Text to Active Path
(white hand). |
|
|
 |
Now
the word Enter will appear. Just type the name you want to use. When you're finished with that, click the Pick
Tool (white arrow) and then the Text Tool (red arrow). Now you
can change the type of the font, the size, et. cetera. (1).
I've used a color from my tube for text, and I also added a 1
pixel border (white hand) to my text.
When you are satisfied with the text, but still have to many
letters left, leave the Text tool, choose the Pick Tool, right
click the Text and Convert Object Type and choose From
Text/Path to Image. Now you can use the Eraser Tool to remove
the letters you don't need.
|
|
|
 |
When
you are satisfied with the name, click the Pick Tool (white
arrow), activate the tube, and use the Arrange command Bring
to Front (red arrow). |
|
|
|
|
Keep the tube activated, right
click/Shadow and use these settings: Black + 5.altern. (red arrow)
+
50/101 (white hand) / 10.
Click OK and deselect the tube.
Activate the text, right click/Shadow, and also this time we are
choose the 5.altern., but now we use the default settings
(50/100/10).
If you like what you see, you can Merge All.

Here's
the result in the original size :))

|
|
That's
it! A stylish, but still very easy Sig Tag ... made with PI
and one 3rd party filter.
HAVE FUN!!!
