DESCRIPTION: This tutorial shows you how you can make a beautiful and very special frame to decorate your photos or artworks ... by using PI and different filters.

Remember to save often!

For this tutorial, as for all of them, we are going to make a lot of similar frames/borders, with the same color/fill/pattern - using the same steps over again, so next time I'm only referring to 3 Acadie (=fill with a tile from Acadie). Just repeat the steps I'm explaining for the first frame/border. (Always expand sides equally, and with the pixels mentioned in front of the color.)

To make it more easy to select a border, right click/All, right click/Border and set the Pixels of the border for the Border width, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box.
You can always use the Magic Wand Tool, but this way it's more easy if you use similar colors for the background and the border. (On the assumption that all sides have been expanded equally!)

Open the picture (size 192 x 401 Pixels)
Adjust/Expand Canvas/Expand sides equally 2 pixel, Expand: White.
Right click/All, right click/Border and set the Border width to 2 (red arrow), Direction: Inward, Shape: Box.
Click OK.

Edit/Fill/Image (red arrow)/File and find the texture/fill you want to use (white arrow). For this frame I used one from Acadie Art/Ribbon tile/coppersatin_048-corr.jpg. Remember to check the box Tile the image (1). Click OK.
Keep the border selected and go to Effect/Bordermania/  Frame #2: 2/2/110/40 + Notch Corners.
Deselect (Enter).

5 Acadie + Effect/ScreenWorks/Light Gauze.
Deselect (Enter).

2 Acadie + Effect/Bordermania/Frame #2:

Top: 70
Left: 30
Right: 70
Bottom: 30
Expand color: White. Select the border with the Selection Tool/Magic Wand (white arrow), and fill with the fill from Acadie.

Keep the border selected and go to Photo/Color/Hue & Saturation/Master (red arrow) and use these settings:
Hue: 0
Saturation: 15 (white hand)
Lightness: 0
Click OK and keep the border selected.

Go to Effect/ScreenWorks/Point Array (red arrow) and click OK.

Keep the border selected.

Effect/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss and use the default settings.

Keep the border selected and go to Effect/Almathera/A Halo and use these settings:
