DESCRIPTION: This tutorial shows you how you can make outstanding frames for any picture or artwork ... by using PI and different filters.

Remember to save often!

To make it more easy to select a border, right click/All, right click/Border and set the Pixels of the border for the Border width, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box. You can always use the Magic Wand Tool, but this way it's more easy if you use similar colors for the background and the border. (On the assumption that all sides have been expanded equally!)

Open the picture and choose a Foreground color (white arrow). I used 187/201/210 from the picture. Go to Adjust/Expand Canvas/Expand sides equally 2 pixels, Expand: White, select the border, and go to Edit/Fill/Image (red arrow). Find the file of the downloaded fill (white hand). Check Tile the image (1) under How to fill and click OK.
Deselect the border.

Expand: 1 pixel, Expand: Foreground color.

Once again make another border (2 pixels) with the Edit/ Fill/Image command. Use the same fill.
Deselect the border.

Expand: 1 pixel, Expand: Foreground color.

We are going to make several more frames like these frames (same steps), so next time I'm only referring to frame 1 (Edit/Fill/Image) or to frame 2 (Foreground color). Just repeat the steps we've done right now.

Expand: 5 pixels, Color: White, select the border, go to Edit/Fill/Image and use the same fill as before.
Keep the border selected.

5/5/110/130 + Notch corners

Format/Expand Canvas/Expand sides equally 25 pixels, Expand color: White, select the border and go to Edit/Fill/Image and use the same fill as before.
Keep the border activated, go to Effect/Fills and Textures/Texture Filter/Embossed. Choose the Texture Image (red arrow), named emboss009.bmp, and use the default settings (1): 100/20/50/0 Direction: 45

Open your the downloaded file - Divider -, and place on your picture. Change the Mode from 2D Object to 3D Round. Select the Transform Tool (red arrow), right click/Properties/Position& Size: Keep aspect ratio and Width: 250. Click OK. Edit/Fill/Color: 72/94/134.
