DESCRIPTION: This tutorial shows you how you can easily make cute frames for all your private photos ... by using PI and different filters.

Remember to save often!

To make it more easy to select a border, right click/All, right click/Border and set the Pixels of the border for the Border width, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box. You can always use the Magic Wand Tool, but this way it's more easy if you use similar colors for the background and the border. (On the assumption that all sides have been expanded equally!)

Open the picture you want to use and choose the Foreground Color: 209/221/197 (white hand).
Go to Adjust/Expand Canvas/Expand sides equally 2 pixels, Expand: White, and select the border. Go to Edit/Fill/Gradient (red arrow)/Magic Gradient (1), choose Mode 1 (2) and click the Edit button (white arrow). Choose Palette 004, and click OK twice.
Go to Selection/None.

We are going to make some more frames like the first one (same steps - Expand: 2 pixels, Selection, Edit/Fill/Gradient/Magic Gradient with the same color and Mode), so next time I'm only referring to the frame 1. Just repeat the steps we've done right now for our first frame.

Expand sides equally 10 pixels, Foreground Color. Select the border, go to Effect/Noise/Add Noise/Options: Varied + Variance:15.
Deselect.

Add a frame 1. Deselect.

Expand sides equally 20 pixels, Foreground Color.
Select the border.
Effect/Screen Works/Lace Screen and keep the border selected.

Go to Effect/Eye Candy 4000/Bevel Boss - and here we only change the Basic settings to:
5.99/20/78 + Inside marquee + 7 + Shade Interior
Click OK and use the Return Key to unselect the picture.

Add a frame 1. Deselect.

Expand sides equally 10 pixels, Foreground Color. Select the border, and go to Effect/Noise/Add Noise/Options: Varied + Variance: 15.
Go to Effect/Eye Candy 4000/Bevel Boss and use the same settings as we did the first time.

Add a frame 1. Deselect.

Expand sides equally 2 pixels, Foreground Color.
Deselect.

Add a frame 1. Deselect.

Expand sides equally 40 pixels, Foreground Color. Select the border, and go to Effect/Screen Works/Lace Screen.
Keep the border selected.
Effect/Bordermania/Frame #2 with the settings shown on the screenshot: 40/40/52/70 + Notch Corners.
Deselect.

Add a frame 1.

Deselect and Merge All.

That's it! A beautiful, special frame for a nice photo ... done with PI and filters like Screen Works, Eye Candy 4 and  Bordermania. HAVE FUN!!!
