Material

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Supplies: One tube is from Suzy Sgai and one from Evereves  - thank you both for your wonderful work!
The scrap element and the mask are from the internet, the text-file I've made myself for this tutorial
and the background is from Shady Medusa (I've changed a little bit of the background to fit the tubes -
you'll find the original background on Shady Medusas site. )
You are allowed to download the material here and use it for your private use,
but you are not allowed to change the name of the tubes/scrap element/mask/background/object or text-file,
delete the watermark, neither offer them for sale or download.
The copyright © belongs ALWAYS to the original artist/designer!
No copyright infringement is intended.

Remember to save often!

Before we start, you should open the masks, and store them into your Easy Palette. In case you need to freshen up your memory on how to save a mask into the EP - you can take a look at one of my other tutorials, where I explain a little bit more about how to use a mask in PI. You'll find the tutorial here.
Important - in my tutorials my masks fit the chosen background/object ... you achieve this by right clicking any mask inside the original category Mask Library in your Easy Palette. Now you choose the option Fit Mask.

Very important:
Do NOT merge the pictures before I tell you to do so!

Open the background ... shadymedusa_text011-ik ... and the object ... object_When I need you.

Copy (Ctrl+C) the object (1), and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of the object on our main picture (2).
Right click the object on the main picture/Properties/ Position & Size, and use these settings:
Left: 58 (red arrow) and Top: 21 (white arrow).
Deselect the object (Enter).

Open the tube ... SS_334 ..., copy the tube, and paste the copy of the tube on our main picture.
Right click the tube on the main picture/Properties/ Position & Size, and use these settings:
Left: 409 and Top: 88.
Keep the tube activated, choose the Pick Tool and change the Soft edge to 28 (red arrow).
Keep the tube activated, right click/Duplicate and change the Soft edge of the duplicate to 70.
Deselect the tube (Enter).

Open the tube ... eve60 ..., copy the tube, and paste the copy of the tube on our main picture.
Right click the tube on the main picture/Properties/ Position & Size, and use these settings:
Left: - 69 and Top: 189.
Keep the tube activated.

Go to Edit/
Fade Out and use these settings:
Fill type: 6.altern. (white hand)
Fill color: Two-color:
100% (white arrow) to 20% (red arrow).
Click OK, choose the Pick Tool and change the Transparency of the tube to 20.
Deselect the tube (Enter).

Open the scrap element ... scraptube45_joluvsdogs ..., copy the element, and paste the copy on our main picture.
Right click the element on the main picture/Properties/ Position & Size/Size, and resize the tube.
Make sure the box "Keep aspect ratio" is ticked (red arrow), and change the Width to 383 (white hand).
Now we can change the position of the tube to:
Left: 175 / Top: 97 (white arrows).
Click OK and keep the scrap element activated.

Choose the Transform Tool/Rotate by degree and set the value to 5.00 (red arrow). Click the button Rotate counterclockwise (white hand).
Deselect the scrap element (Enter).

Choose the Retouch Tool/Burn (white hand), Size: 6, Transp: 50, Level: 42 and click the button Paint as object (white arrow).
Paint small marks inside the left ring and outside the right ring of the scrap element. (see Screenshot - red arrows). The element will look much more realistic by doing this step.
When you are satisfied with the burn painting, click the Pick Tool, and a small window appears on your screen. Click Yes.

Activate the scrap element again, right click/Shadow, and use these settings:
Black + 5.altern. (red arrow) +
Transparency: 50
Shadow size: 101
Soft edge: 10
Click OK and deselect the element (Enter).

Open the text file ... text_When I need you ... copy the text and paste the copy on our main picture.
Right click the text on the main picture/Properties/ Position & Size and use this Position:
Left: 130 / Top: 146.

Choose the Pick Tool and change the Soft edge to 5 (red arrow).
Deselect the text (Enter).

Open your Easy Palette/Libraries (white hand) and double-click the mask ... graphiceden_borderpaint-02 (1) ..., which you've downloaded, unzipped and stored into the EP.

On the screenshot you can see the mask applied on our picture.

Go to Edit/Fill/Color set the Transparency to 40 (white hand) and fill the mask with the color:
Red: 76 / Green: 61 / Blue: 32 (red arrows).
Click OK and deselect the mask (spacebar).

Merge All.

Right click/All, right click/Border, and use these settings:
Border width: 2 Pixels (white hand), Direction: Inward (red arrow), Shape: Box and Anti-aliasing.
Click OK and keep the border selected.

Go to Edit/Fill/Color, and fill the border with the same color we used for the mask (76/61/32), but remember to reset the Transparency to 0.
Deselect the border (spacebar), and your picture is finished. :))

Here's the result in the original size :))
