PI Version: 12 (but you can use earlier, and newer versions too)
Level: Intermediate
Featured tools: Pick Tool
Additional filters: None
Additional files: 2 tubes, 1 scrap element, 1 background,
1 object and 2 fills.
You'll get the material in the zip-file.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  
Supplies: The tubes and the scrap elements are from different Yahoo-groups. The 2 fills are from the internet,
the background and the object are made by me to fit this tutorial.
You are allowed to download the material here and use it for your private use, 
but you are not allowed to change the name of the tubes/element/background or anything else,
delete the watermark, neither offer them for sale or download.

Remember to save often!

 

Before we start, you should install the texture dddimndsb11 into your PI Texture Filter. (If you need help, take a look here.) 

Very important: Do NOT merge the picture (tubes) before I tell you to do so! 

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Open the background ... background ... and the object ... object_001.

Copy (Ctrl+C) the object, and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy on the background.
Right click the object on the background/Properties/Position & Size, and use these settings: 
Left: 477 and Top: 41.
Keep the object activated.

Go to Edit/Fill/Color and fill the object with the color: 217/137/72.
Keep the object activated.

Effect/Fills and Textures/Texture Filter/Embossed, click the little icon for the Texture image and choose Select Texture. 
Find the texture ... dddimndsb11 ... which you've downloaded and installed into the Texture Filter.
Use these settings: 100/17/50/0 + Direction: 45.
Click OK/Apply Current Frame Effect to Image and keep the object activated.

Right click/Shadow and use these settings:
Black + 1.altern. + 1/1/50/100/3.
Deselect the object (Enter).



Open a New Image, size: 470x550 Pixels, Color: 232/184/145.

Right click/All, right click/Border, and use these settings:
Border width: 30 Pixel, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box and Anti-aliasing.
Click OK and keep the border selected. 
Right click/Border, but this time we use a Border width of 2.
Keep the border selected.

Go to Edit/Fill/Image/File and find the downloaded and unzipped fill with the name ... Silber_02.jpg.
Click OK and deselect the border (spacebar).

Copy (Ctrl+C) the small image and paste (Ctrl+V) on our main picture. 
Right click the small picture on our main picture/ Properties/Position & Size and use these settings:
Left: 26 / Top: 25.
Keep the small picture activated. 

Right click/Shadow and use these settings:
Black  + 1.altern. + 2/2/50/100/5.
Click OK and deselect the small picture (Enter).



Open the tube ... IDI[Mist]Couple18@25.8.6 ... , copy (Ctrl+C) the tube, and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of the tube on our main picture. 
Close the downloaded tube ... the tube on the main picture should still be activated.
Right click the tube on our main picture/Properties/ Position & Size/Position and use these settings:
Left: 79 / Top: 27.
Keep the tube selected.

Choose the Pick Tool and change the Transparency to 10 and the Soft edge to 12.
Deselect the tube (Enter).



Open the tube ... hjr_hearts ... , copy (Ctrl+C) the tube, and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of the tube on our main picture.

Right click the tube on our main picture/Properties/Position & Size/Size and resize the tube.
Make sure the box "Keep aspect ratio" is ticked, and change the Width to 98. 
Now we can change the position of the tube too.
Left: 423 / Top: 493.
Click OK and keep the tube activated.

Right click/Shadow and use these settings:
Black + 1.altern. + 2/2/50/100/5.
Deselect the tube (Enter).



Add some text as you wish and Merge All.



Right click/All, right click/Border, and use these settings:
Border width: 1 Pixel, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box and Anti-aliasing.
Keep the border selected, and go to Edit/Fill/Color and fill the border with the Color: 170/97/36.
Deselect the border (spacebar).

Go to Adjust/Expand Canvas, and expand all sides equally with 2 Pixels, Color: White.  
Right click/All, right click/Border, Border width: 2 Pixels.
Go to Edit/Fill/Image and fill this border with the same silverfill (Silber_02.jpg) we've used before.
Deselect the border (spacebar). 



Right click/All, right click/Convert to Object and deselect the "object" (Enter).

Go to Adjust/Expand Canvas, and expand all sides equally with 20 Pixels, Color: 170/97/36.  
Right click/All, right click/Border, Border width: 2 Pixels.
Go to Edit/Fill/Image and fill this border with the same silverfill (Silber_02.jpg) we've used before.
Deselect the border (spacebar). 



Activate our main picture (the "object"), right click/Shadow, and use these settings:
Black  + 1.altern. + 5/5/50/100/5.
Click OK and deselect the "object" (Enter).



Open the scrap element ... schleife ... copy and paste it on our main picture. 
Right click the scrap element, Properties/Position & Size and use these settings:
Left: -6 and Top: 19.
Right click the scrap element/Shadow, and use these settings: 
Black + 1.altern. + 1/1/50/100/3.
Merge All, and your picture is finished. :))
