Remember to save often!

Before we start, you should install the extra file for the filter Xero. It's very easy ... just copy the file stipje.tek into your Xero filter.

We are working on different pictures - picture 1 and picture 2, and our main picture. I will call them like this throughout this tutorial. :))

Very important:
Do NOT merge the pictures before I tell you to do so, or your filter result will not look like mine!

Picture 1
Open a New Image, size: 350x530, Color: White.

Go to Effect/Xero/Tekstya and click the Load button (white hand). Find the filter Xero (1) on your hard drive, and choose the installed file - stipje.tek (red arrow).
Click Open (white arrow).
Click OK on the Xero:Tekstya filter preview.

Open the tube - Marif_2007_03Mars_lady0155 -, copy (Ctrl+C) the tube (1), activate our picture 1 (2), and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of the tube on it.
Minimize the original tube (we will need it later again) ... the tube on picture 1 should still be activated.
Right click the tube on picture 1/Properties/ Position & Size (white hand)/Position and use these settings:
Left: -3 (red arrow)
Top: -2 (white arrow).
Click OK and keep the tube selected.

Right click/Shadow and use these settings:
Color: Black + 3 altern.
X-offset: 1
Y-offset: 1
Transparency: 50
Shadow size: 100
Soft edge: 10.

Merge All.

Right click/All, right click/Border, and use these settings:
Border width: 1 Pixels (white hand), Direction: Inward (red arrow), Shape: Box and Anti-aliasing.
Click OK and keep the border selected.

Go to Edit/Fill/Image (red arrow)/File and find (white hand) the downloaded and unzip goldfill with the name  Arguld10.jpg.
Click OK and deselect the border (spacebar).

Right click/All, right click/Border, and this time we use a  Border width of 2 Pixels. (The rest stays the same as before.)
Go to Edit/Fill/Image/File and find the downloaded and unzip goldfill with the name t8_gold fill.jpg.
Click OK and deselect the border (spacebar).

We will need border like this several times, so next time I will only write 1 Arguld-border (= 1 Pixel border) and
1 t8_gold-border (= 2 Pixels border).

Picture 2
Open a New Image, size: 600x440, Color: White.

Effect/Xero/Tekstya and use the same file - stipje.tek - as before.
Go to Adjust and choose Invert.

Open the tube - SS_850_Misted -, copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the tube on our picture 2.
Close the downloaded tube ... the tube on picture 2 should still be activated.
Right click the tube on picture 2/Properties/Position & Size and position the tube like that:
Left: 245 / Top: 4.
Keep the tube selected.

Go to Edit/Fade Out and use these settings:
Fill type: 6.altern. (white hand)
Fill color: Two-color:
100% (red arrow) to 30% (white arrow).
Click OK and keep the tube selected.

' Choose the Eraser Tool (white hand), brush shape: circle,  brush size approx. 75, Transp.: 50 and Soft edge: 50 (1).
Since this is a misted tube, we have to erase all the white "stuff" around the tube (red arrows) to make our picture looking good.

Keep the tube activated after you are done with the erasing part.
Go to Photo/Color/Hue & Saturation and change the Saturation to -100.
Merge All.

Now, as with picture 1 we need to give this picture some gold borders:
1 Arguld-border + 1 t8_gold-border

Main picture:
Open a New Image, 800x600 Pixels, color: White.

Copy (Ctrl+C) picture 2 (the last one we made), activate our main picture, and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of picture 2 on it. Position picture 2 like this: Left: 143 / Top: 123.

Copy (Ctrl+C) picture 1, activate our main picture, and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of picture 1 on it.
Position picture 1 like this: Left: 53 / Top: 33.
You can see the exact position on the screenshot (1).
Keep picture 1 on our main picture activated, right click/Select All Objects, right click/Merge as Single Object (red arrow).

Maximize the tube - Marif_2007_03Mars_lady0155 -, copy (Ctrl+C) the tube, activate our main picture, and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy of the tube on it.
Now you can close the original tube ... the tube on our main picture should still be activated.
Right click the tube on the main picture/Properties/ Position & Size and position the tube like this:
Left: 53 / Top: 33.
Keep the tube selected, choose the Eraser Tool (white hand), and erase a little bit of the tube on the left, the top and the bottom (red arrows).

Keep the tube activated, right click/Select All Objects, right click/Merge as Single Object.
Deselect (Enter).

Adjust/Expand Canvas, and expand all sides equally with 30 Pixels, Color: White.

Effect/VM Experimental (red arrow)/Oscilloscope (white arrow) and use these settings (1):
Scan Line: 103
Amplitude: 81
Invert: 3
Mode: 204.
Your screenshot might look different, since I'm using Filters Unlimited 2 - but the settings are the same anyway.
Click Apply.

Now, as before, we need to give our main picture some gold borders:
1 Arguld-border + 1 t8_gold-border.

Adjust/Expand Canvas, and expand all sides equally with 20 Pixels, Color: White.
Right click/All, right click/Border, and use these settings:
Border width: 20 Pixels, Direction: Inward, Shape: Box and Anti-aliasing.
Keep the border selected, go to Effect/VM Experimental (red arrow)/Oscilloscope (white arrow) and use these settings (1):
103/70/3/204.
Click Apply and Merge All.
Now, we need one more time our gold borders:
1 Arguld-border + 1 t8_gold-border, add some text as you want, and your blend is finished :))

Here's the result in the original size :))

That's it! A beautiful picture ... made with PI, two tubes, two gold fills and two 3rd party filter. HAVE FUN!!!
