IMPORTANT NOTE:

The photos I'm using are from PD Photo.org, and the background picture I've made by myself.
You can use the background picture to redo this tutorial, but you are not allowed
to offer it for sale, download it or use it for your own tutorials.
I have resized the photos to fit the tutorial,
but if you visit the homepage of PD Photo.org you can
download them, and a lot of other beautiful photos free.
(Be aware: Not all of the photos are free to use, there are some photos marked as copyrighted!)

Remember to save often!

Before we start, you should open the masks, and store them into your Easy Palette. In case you need to freshen up your memory on how to save a mask into the EP - you can take a look at one of my other tutorials, where I explain a little bit more about how to use a mask in PI. You'll find the tutorial here.
Important - in my tutorials my masks fit the chosen background/object ... you achieve this by right clicking any mask inside the original category Mask Library in your Easy Palette. Now you choose the option Fit Mask.

Very important: Do NOT merge the picture before I tell you to do so!

Open the background picture, - 0014_inkl.jpg (2) and set the Background color to 102/126/172 (white hand).

Open the photo sandiego_1_bg_122003. Copy (Ctrl+C) the photo (1) and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy on our background  picture (2).
Close the downloaded photo ... the photo on the main picture should still be activated.

With the photo sandiego_1_bg_122003 on top of our background picture, open your Easy Palette/Libraries (white hand) and double-click the mask ... maske_71-kris_02 (1), which you've downloaded, unzipped and stored into the EP.
On the screenshot you can see that the mask applied on
the photo (2).
Deselect the photo (Enter).

Open the photo dimage_4_bg_012706. Copy (Ctrl+C) the photo (1) and paste (Ctrl+V) the copy on our main picture (2).
Close the downloaded photo ... the photo on the main picture should still be activated.
Choose the Transform Tool (white hand) and flip the photo Horizontally (red arrow).
Right click the rotated photo, choose Properties/Position & Size (3) and change the Position to:
Left: 113 (white arrow)/Top: 0 (should be already 0).
Click OK and keep the photo selected.

Go to Edit/Fade Out and use these settings:
Fill type: 6. (white hand)
Fill color: Two-color:
100% (red arrow) to 0 % (white arrow).
Click OK and keep the photo selected.

Choose the Pick tool (white hand), and change the Transparency of the photo to 50 (red arrow).
Merge All.

Open your Easy Palette/Libraries (white hand) and double-click the mask ... tut_blend_016-mask (1), which you've downloaded, unzipped and stored into the EP.
On the screenshot you can see that the mask applied on
the image (2).
Check that your background color fits your Blend - here 102/126/172 (red arrow), and push 1 x the Delete button (alternatively - go to Edit/Fill/ Color and fill with the color you want to use.)
Deselect the mask (spacebar).

' Adjust/Expand Canvas/Expand all sides equally (red arrow): 20 Pixels with the same color (Background color) you used for the last mask.
Click OK.

Right click/All, right click/Border, and use these settings:
Border width: 1 (white hand)
Direction: Inward (red arrow)
Shape: Box and Anti-aliasing.
Click OK and keep the border selected.

Go to Edit/Fill/Color (white arrow) and fill the border with a nice dark shade from your blend - here 4/17/55 (red arrows); Hex: 040B37 (white hand).
Deselect (spacebar).

Add some text as you want, and your blend is finished :))

Here's the result in the original size :))

That's it! A beautiful blend ... made with PI, two masks, 2 photos and  one background picture. HAVE FUN!!!
